If an Alvis and Bristol we review elsewhere aren’t quite your style but you like the idea of a grand, grand tourer, check out this lucky thirteen that start from just two grand!

If you can include a Triumph Stag in this gaggle of grand GTs then you can’t leave out the bigger-engined MGB GTs, not least because they were likened to a poor man’s Aston in their day. Classy looking, nicely solid in build and as easy to drive and own as the regular MGB, these bigger Bs may lack the agility of the four-cylinder versions but they make up for it in their superior speed and a more relaxing cruising nature, particularly the once unloved but now coveted MGC. The GT V8 is starting to match the earlier MGC price-wise so buy now if you want one of these.
