JENSEN-HEALEY FAMOUS NAMES MAKE A CLASSIC TO WATCH
This was the car that Healey himself designed to replace his hairy-chested classic and, on paper at least, yet to all intents and purposes could – and should – have taken over from the Elan. A mixture of that Healey name, Jensen build and, ironically, Lotus power should have been a winning recipe, especially the plusher sportshatch GT that was a cheaper more frugal 1970’s Interceptor. However, poor reliability and build along with trouble at the Jensen factory, meant the J-H never had a chance to become a Bake-off finalist, despite the MkII being much improved. Spares and club support is good and values rising so if you want one, don’t delay.
