Meat in the 541 and Interceptor sandwich is the CV-8 which is a bit of both and perhaps offers the best of both, having the style of the earlier Austin-powered Jensen (as well as a GRP body) and the American V8 muscle of the Interceptor. For many, this sounds the ideal GT. Prices are broadly similar to the Interceptor but still quite inexpensive when you consider the car’s cut-price supercar-like credentials. Those ‘angry’ looks you either love or loathe but they that would have even 911 owners move over!
