Jaguar XJS
NOW A CLASSIC CAT!
It’s as almost as if Jaguar went back to its XK roots with the XJ-S because this 2+2 was certainly never intended to replace the E-type. And it didn’t – which is the chief reason why the XJ-S, despite being outstanding in so many areas and once rightly regarded as the best GT in the world, failed to make it as a classic – until now 40 years on. If there was a modern replacement to the Jensen 541, then this Jag is surely it but with more speed, safety and – yes arguably – style.
