IT’S A SORT OF MODERN MINI HEALEY THAT’S GAINING FANS
With its classical long flowing bonnet, short tail, and a lusty big six up front, there’s a distinct touch of the Healey about BMW’s MX-5 rivalling Z3. In straight-six cylinder guises the German provides performance that eats a TR6 and MGC for breakfast yet these Z3s are as easy and economical as a normal 3 Series to run and maintain (and just as smooth and civilised). Is the Z3 the true modern Healey for those who want something smaller and smoother with a similar style and – dare we suggest – character, but with a modern twist?
