BEST MODEL: 635

A modern replacement to the old CS range the 6 Series (633/628CSi) was introduced in 1976 with the ‘much more like-it’ 218bhp 635 CSi arriving in 1978 and the 286bhp M635CSi six years later. These are sportier than the cruising V12 850 and V8 840 which displaced them for 1990. Only the M635 is worth serious money (over £30K) but the 8 Series are brilliant bargains, albeit horrendously expensive to repair.
