Original and still the best?
Both the TVR and the MG we feature in our twin test elsewhere in this issue are trying hard to recapture the spirit and style of the old, glorious Big-six Healey – but accept no imitations? Beefy and brutish, this 1950’s sports car is a proper ‘driver’s car’ in every sense with lusty performance and show-it-who’s-boss handling. Most were two-seater convertibles but a hard top and 2+2 seating configuration were optional. Prices have soared of late and the trend will only continue for this classic Brit that’s backed by an excellent network of specialists and owners’ clubs.
