Traditional Astons don’t come any cheaper than the vexed Virage, Aston’s poorly developed replacement for the antique DBS on which the car was still based. The car only came good once the revamped Vantage was issued and prices refl ect this – but if you’re after a low cost genuine old school Aston an early Virage may well fit the bill, being slightly roomier and rarer than a DB7 into the bargain. Less than £20K will get you a fair example but the days of them selling for half this at auction are long gone. And you get what you pay for – while repair bills can come DB5-sized…
