Don’t let the winter put you off – buying a soft top is the hottest move you’ll make in 2016!
You can’t leave the MGB out of the equation, even when it’s being compared to more exotic sportsters because what it lacks in prestige and pace it more than makes up for it in common sense and character. Handling is utterly predictable and controllable, plus the suspension can easily be updated to keep up with a modern car. RV8 was the MGB everybody yearned for but it came too late in the day. That said, they cost little more than an MGB 1.8 to buy and run and have a real ‘Big Healey’ feel about them, but with some desirable modern conveniences.
