MIDLAND’S MASTERPIECE
Similar in concept and configuration to the earlier 541 but now clothed in a delightfully stylish Italian suit, the ‘Birmingham Ferrari’ has finally found its place in the classic market and not before time. Not only is this Jensen fine GT but it’s also one of the simplest supercars to maintain at home thanks to its simple old school American V8. That sports hatch (copied by Porsche) makes for good practicality in a cabin boasting Rolls-Royce-like luxury. It’s best to avoid the complex 4x4 FF unless you really want all-wheel drive grip however.
